Understanding How Stacked Bar Graphs Work
Stacked bar graphs provide a visual representation of results at a specific moment in time. As a result, they may not match the results displayed in the blocks described above. Instead, each bar allows for a comparison of different results by date and step.
When you hover your mouse over a bar graph, the specific results will appear. Since these bar graphs stack the results on top of one another, they will change as new results come in. It’s easier to read the data from the bottom up.
Contact Insights Bar Graphs
The Contact Insights bar graphs break down results by sequence step and its day interval. Hovering your mouse over a bar will display the individual results.
Important Note: The Contact Insight bars are the only insights that attribute results to the original send date or task due date.
For example, if an email was sent on Step 1, Day 1 and receives a reply later, that reply will still appear in the Step 1, Day 1 column.
All other Insight bars report results based on the actual date the action occurred, not when the step was originally scheduled. This distinction helps you accurately assess which messages or steps are driving engagement.
Important Note: If the first step is an auto email that bounces and the second step is a text message, the contact will still advance to the second step, but no further emails will be sent to that email address.
Email Insights
The Email Insights blocks display the current combined totals for all email steps in the sequence:
-
Sent: The total number of email messages sent across all steps.
-
Failed: The percentage of sent email messages that failed to be delivered.
-
Opened: The percentage of total emails sent that have been opened.
- Link Clicks: The percentage of all links sent that have been clicked by recipients.
-
Packages Opened: The percentage of total packages sent via email that have been opened.
Note: The only case where a package may not show as opened, even if it was viewed, is when it contains only a single image file. This is because the image is displayed immediately, with no other content to trigger an interaction.
-
Replies: The percentage of contacts that have replied to the total emails sent.
-
Bounced: The percentage of sent emails that have bounced.
-
Unsubscribed: The percentage of contacts that have unsubscribed from the total emails sent.
