Protecting Your Domain's Reputation with Vuepak
Vuepak implements several measures to help protect your domain's reputation and ensure that emails sent by our subscribers reach their intended recipients. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service.
Email blast send from an address book
When an email blast is sent for the first time from a new address book in your account, Vuepak monitors for any email bounces. As we continue sending, we ensure that the email blast does not exceed 5% in Hard Bounces or 0.1% in Complaints. If these limits are exceeded, Vuepak will suspend email blasts from that address book and send you an alert email. You can still send individual emails to contacts, but bounced addresses will not be included. Once you've updated your list, you can resume sending messages by clicking Resume in the Status column of the History section. The Resume link will only activate after you have cleaned the affected address book.
If you exceed three attempts sending from the affected address book and your bounce rate continues to exceed 5%, both you and your account administrator will receive an email advising that you have only two more attempts before the address book features are temporarily suspended. While sending from email address books will be disabled, all other features will remain operational. Your account administrator will need to contact Vuepak support to reinstate the Address Book feature.
For soft bounces, the email address will be logged in the Activity Log. If the same email continues to soft bounce in future messages, it will eventually be classified as a Hard Bounce and moved to the Cleaned section of the address book. We allow up to three soft bounces for an email address before converting it to a hard bounce.
A Hard Bounce or a Complaint will move the email address to the Cleaned list after the first failed attempt.
Emails sent through sequences
For sequences, the process differs. Any email that receives a soft bounce will cause the sequence to pause that contact for the duration specified in the Out-of-Office Settings within the sequence settings. The sequence will then continue to the next step at the scheduled time. For example, if the next step is set for 5 days later and the out-of-office response is set for 3 days, the next step will execute 8 days later. An email in a sequence can soft bounce up to 7 times before converting to a hard bounce, at which point it will be removed from the sequence and moved to the Cleaned section of the address book.
