The Upload page is where you will upload the media files to your package.
If you are the Administrator or have been given Edit or Create Packages permissions, you will see the Create Packages option on the main menu.
To upload content, follow these steps:
1. Click on Create Packages.
2. Choose a package and click on Upload.
You are now on the Upload page for this package. Vuepak identifies your media by type and places your files under the appropriate category. The categories are Videos, Audio, Images, Documents, and Downloads. Acceptable file types for the included players and viewers are as follows:
- WMV, AVI, MP4, and MOV for HD or SD for Video
- WAV and MP3 for Audio files
- JPG for Images
- PDF for Documents
Any other file type will automatically be placed in the Downloads section of your package.
Note: When uploading a PDF document, please ensure that all pages have the same orientation (portrait or landscape) and that all pages are the same size.
You also have the option of sending acceptable file types directly to the Downloads section by turning on the option "Place file in Downloads folder" before uploading. Files that you opt to place directly into the Downloads section will not be shown on the players or viewers. The recipient will only be able to download them.
3. To upload files, click Browse or Drag and Drop your files in the box labeled Drop Your Files Here. You can upload multiple files at the same time. Please do not leave the page until all uploads have completed.
Note: If you uploaded HD video files, Vuepak will play back those files with adaptive streaming through Amazon's Content Distribution Network. Dependent on your recipient's internet connection, they will be able to see your videos in High Definition. Slower internet speeds will downgrade to SD quality.
Uploaded video and audio file entries will have an edit icon next to the thumbnail. Clicking edit will allow you to change the thumbnail that appears on the video or audio player. You will also be able to upload your own.
If you would like to view or hear any of your files, click the Preview icon.
You can change the file description on the package by clicking Edit in the Description column.
Video, audio, images, and documents can be made available for your recipients to download by selecting the checkbox labeled Allow Download in the Options column. The file that will download will be the original file you uploaded, not the converted file that Vuepak creates.
Documents can be presented in standard mode, allowing scrolling from one page to the next, or as a Magazine, which enables the recipient to flip through the pages from right to left. Check the box View as a Magazine to enable this feature.
Please note that on certain mobile devices, such as phones with small screens, the recipient will only see one page at a time when the phone is held in portrait mode.
If you would like to allow your recipient to print the document, check the box labeled Allow Printing. If you want to permit downloads of the document, check the box labeled Allow Download.
You can also change the order in which your files appear to the recipient by using the Reorder feature. Simply grab and drag the files up or down to arrange them as desired.
Once you have completed uploading files to your package, you can preview it by clicking the View icon next to the package name.
You can always delete one or multiple files by checking their entries and clicking the Delete button. This action will send your files to the Recycle Bin. Click the Recycle Bin to either restore or permanently delete those files.
