The Tasks page displays tasks that you have manually added as well as tasks created by sequences.
To visit the Tasks page, follow these steps:
1. Click Tasks on the main menu.
There are two types of tasks:
a) Call
b) Task (Any other task type)
You can filter tasks by type, due date, or status.
To create a new task, follow these steps:
1. Click New Task.
2. Select from the dropdown whether this is a Call task or another Task type.
3. Select a Due Date and a Due Time.
4. Enter a Task Title.
5. Enter a Task Description.
(Optional) Click Ask AI to access helpful features that can assist you in writing your message.
6. Enter the Associated Contact—the contact that the task relates to.
7. Click Save.
You will now see the task listed.
Description of Each Column:
-
Title: The task title or name.
-
Outcome: The result of an outgoing phone call. Options include: Busy, Connected, Left Voicemail, Missed, No Answer, and Wrong Number.
-
Contact: The associated contact with its email, phone numbers, and time zone.
-
Job Title: The job title of the associated contact.
-
Company: The name of the contact's company.
-
Due Date: The due date for the task.
Hint: Under Contact, you can click the icons to copy the contact name or contact + company name. This makes it easy to paste into other applications, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, to quickly search for contact information.
Editing a Task
Tasks can be edited by clicking the pencil icon next to the task title.
Note: Sequence tasks will be added by any sequence that includes task steps when they are due. Active sequence tasks cannot be deleted.
Important Note: If you edit a sequence task step by changing the date and time, the following step will occur at the set day interval at the scheduled time after the task has been completed. If you edit a task that has already been completed and the sequence has moved the contact to the next step, any changes to the task will have no effect on the contact in the sequence.
To delete a task, check the checkbox next to the entry and click Delete.
