Microsoft has recently tightened security requirements around how users can grant consent to verified publisher applications, including Vuepak. Because of these changes, your users may be unable to connect their Microsoft 365 email accounts unless the following tenant-level settings are updated.
As the Microsoft 365 Administrator, please complete the steps below to allow your users to integrate their email accounts with Vuepak and also import their contacts.
Step 1 — Sign in to Microsoft Entra Admin Center
Go to: https://entra.microsoft.com
Step 2 — Update User Consent Settings
In the search bar at the top, type “User consent settings”.
Select User consent settings from the dropdown results.
Choose:
✔ Allow user consent for apps from verified publishers, for selected permissions
Click Save.
This setting allows users in your organization to consent to apps like Vuepak only for permissions you specifically classify as “low risk.”
Step 3 — Configure Low-Risk Permission Classifications
In the top search bar, type “Permission classifications”.
Select Permission classifications from the dropdown results.
3. Go to the Low tab.
4. Click Add permissions.
5. Choose Microsoft Graph.
Step 4 — Add the Required Permissions
Under Microsoft Graph, choose Delegated permissions and select the following permissions:
OpenID permissions
Email
offline_access
openid
Contacts
Contacts.Read
Mail.Read
Mail.ReadWrite
Mail.Send
User
User.Read
After selecting all permissions, click Add permissions.
Your users can now integrate their email accounts
Once these settings are in place, users in your organization will be able to successfully consent to the Microsoft 365 email integration within Vuepak.
